Fairfax, VA, June 29, 2018 – DIGITALSPEC, LLC (DSPEC), a leading provider of Business Consulting Services and Technical Solutions in the metropolitan Washington, D.C area, and with the DIGITALSPEC Foundation, has partnered with Martha’s Table to provide support for those in need. The DIGITALSPEC Foundation believes that everyone has a right to a healthy meal and for over 37 years, Martha’s Table has worked to create stronger communities by giving children and families access to healthy, fresh food and household items.
“At the DIGITALSPEC Foundation, we believe it is our responsibility to be a good neighbor and do our part to support the community we call home,” said Dr. Charles A. Dadoo, CEO of DIGITALSPEC.
In preparation for the event, DIGITALSPEC team members assembled over 200 sandwiches, 150 bags of trail mix, 200 water bottles and canteens, and 200 summer hygiene care packages that consisted of toiletries, a first aid kit, and hygiene products. After assembly, team members volunteered their time and energy to McKenna’s Wagon, an extension of Martha’s Table, by loading two vans full of supplies and then distributing the food, water, care packages, and canteens directly to those in need. These mobile food vans run 365 days a year to distribute meals in downtown D.C. and provided over 1.6 million healthy meals in the community annually. “What a great end to the work week.” said Dr. Felicia Hull, a DIGITALSPEC project manager and volunteer, “And for an even greater cause!”
The DSPEC volunteers who generously donated their time are Dr. Charles A. Dadoo, Elizabeth Novak, Dr. Felicia Hull, Gabriella Zakrocki, Tierra Hawkins, Gretchen Barlow, and Manjul Trivedi.
