Fairfax, VA, July 12, 2018 – DIGITALSPEC, LLC. (DSPEC), a leading provider of business consulting services and technical solutions and services in the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area, was awarded an additional task order, in Fall 2017, for a team to provide communications services to the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA’s) Secure Flight and Crew Vetting Program Management Branch and the Vetting Analysis Division at Annapolis Junction, MD. The team works with agency leadership to plan, create, and execute focused strategic communications, change management, stakeholder assessments, and a wide variety of documents and website content.
This task order expands on the contract DSPEC won in March 2017 to support Communications and Correspondence within TSA’s Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) at TSA Headquarters in Arlington, VA.
Both the Arlington and Annapolis Junction teams provide correspondence management and tracking, process development, and communications planning to support TSA’s I&A. Both teams also support the accurate and timely communication of the mission and goals to internal and external audiences.
“Our dedicated and advanced Communications team provides I&A with the innovative results that take the department to the next level of maturity,” said Corey Jerome, DSPEC Program Manager for TSA’s I&A contract.
DSPEC’s communications professionals provide critical support for TSA’s I&A communications. They coordinate and track executive correspondence requests and make correspondence process improvements. They provide expert writing and editing for a comprehensive variety of customer requirements that include standard operating procedures, website content, formal memorandums, U.S. Congressional responses, communications to aviation partners, and messaging for the workforce. The teams capture metrics and improve or develop additional reporting capabilities. They provide strategy, campaign development, and manage large and small communications projects in coordination with their government customers.
DSPEC has a strong presence in Homeland Security and Defense and Intelligence projects – both locally and along the Southeastern U.S. coast. This award builds on DSPEC’s footprint in the TSA and I&A support field. In addition to I&A, DSPEC supports the Department of Homeland Security with Strategic Communications and Public Affairs in both the TSA and in Customs and Border Protection.
Mission: Protect the nation’s transportation systems to ensure freedom of movement for people and commerce. Vision: An agile security agency, embodied by a professional workforce, that engages its partners and the American people to outmatch a dynamic threat. Core Values: Integrity. Respect. Commitment. Workforce Expectations: Hard work. Professionalism. Integrity.
History: On the morning of September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 people were killed in a series of coordinated terrorist attacks in New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The attacks resulted in the creation of the Transportation Security Administration, designed to prevent similar attacks in the future. The Aviation and Transportation Security Act, passed by the 107th Congress and signed on November 19, 2001, established TSA. Driven by a desire to help our nation, tens of thousands of people joined TSA and committed themselves to strengthening our transportation systems while ensuring freedom of movement for people and commerce.
